14th March |
Green Opening at 12 p.m. |
|
Social Bowling Scramble 2009.
Starting in March and finishing
in September, the scrambles will be every Saturday, except when the green
is required for competitions and visitors. Sign in at 10:30, play starts
at 11:00 with a 1/2 hour lunch break and finishing at 4:00 p.m.

It has been decided that all
competitions will be played for irrespective of the number of members who
sign up to compete for the trophies. All competitions will commence at
12:00 unless otherwise stated. In the event of a larger than expected
entry to any competition the start time may be moved forward to
accommodate the entries. All
draws will take place within the Park Club. |

Posters will be displayed with the Park
Club to sign up for the
President's Trophy (open to all,
knockout format) and the Gents
Vets Singles (knockout format) |

18th April |
Bert Owen Doubles.
This competition is open to both gents
and ladies and will be on a round robin format with drawn partners. |

9th
May |
Jo Laird Memorial Trophy.
This competition is open to both gents
and ladies and will be on a round robin format with drawn partners. |

13th June |
Merit Cup Singles.
This competition is open to both gents
and ladies and will be on a 21 up straight knockout format . |
|
27th June |
Ladies Invitation.
This competition is open to both gents
and ladies and will be on a round robin format with own partners, however,
the Gentleman must be invited by the Lady and cannot be their
partner/spouse. In subsequent years, the
partnership competing must be different to the preceding 2 years. |

11th July |
Kirman Cup.
This competition is open to both gents
and ladies and will be on a round robin format with own partners. |
|
15th August |
Coronation Cup.
This competition is
a men's singles event. It will be
run on a round robin format. |
|
29th August |
Semi final and final of the
President's Trophy. This event
co-incides with President's Day. Details to follow. |

12th
September |
Michael O'Mara Rosebowl.
This competition is
a ladies' singles event. It will be
run on a round robin format. |
|
18th September |
Veterans Semi-Final and Final. |
|
25th September |
Alf Fleming Veterans Doubles.
This competition is open to gents and
ladies veterans and is to be run on a round robin format with different
drawn partners each round. |

26th September |
Autumn Cup & Plate.
This competition is
open to all and will follow the same format as the Scramble. |

28th
September |
Bowls Annual General Meeting. |
|
5th
October |
Green Closes.
This is a provisional date. If the
weather and conditions continue to be clement, then the green closing date
will be put back accordingly. |
